Far North Radio Control Fliers
Good friends, good times, good memories.

Safe, considerate flying is fun flying

Welcome to Far North Radio Control Fliers, a model aircraft club situated in the beautiful winterless North of New Zealand, a few kilometers south of Kaikohe and close to Kerikeri and Pakaraka. The club has one of the best flying sites in New Zealand at Kaikohe Aerodrome.
We cater for all types and sizes of model aircraft that are radio controlled. Models built and flown by our members cover a broad range, from replicating both civil and military aircraft, to fun-fly and aerobatic designs. We have members who are interested in flying aircraft with internal combustion engines, electric motors and silent flight; in fact just about anything that flies including helicopters and jet turbine aircraft.

Although small, the club has members with wide experience and deep knowledge, who are always keen to give advice, information and instruction to newcomers to the hobby of flying and/or building radio control aircraft. Visitors during flying days are always welcome.

The Club is affiliated to Model Flying New Zealand (MFNZ), the governing body for all model flying in New Zealand, which in turn is affiliated to the F.A.I. through the Royal New Zealand Aero Club. MFNZ hold an insurance policy covering all affiliated clubs in New Zealand to provide indemnity for injury or property damage caused by an accidental occurrence in connection with the activities of the members of MFNZ whilst flying model aircraft. More information on the insurance provided can be found on this page.
